A Stone's Throw to Anywhere

The City Park is located on the west side of Maxwell near Indian Creek. The park contains a dog park, a softball/baseball field, Frisbee Golf , playground equipment, horse shoes,  electrical hook ups for camping, restrooms as well as a band shell and a couple shelters for rent. On the west side of park is our Sonny Walker horse arena.  The north east corner of the park holds the Story County Freedom Rock Memorial and Tank.

The Legion Park has several of the city soccer fields. It also has a baseball and softball field in it as well as a wonderful concession stand building that serves at all types of games. The bathrooms are located in the concession stand building. The Heartland of Iowa bike trail entrance is located on the south side of the park.

Scout Park is located near the Legion Park and the EMS Soccer Fields at the corner of 1st street and Woodlawn street.  It is the ideal place for a picnic with the family after a morning of soccer games. It has an open shelter and tables for all to use.

These two areas are located beside each other. Laffey Park is just to the east of the soccer field. They are both located across the street north of the Legion Park and near the Scout Park. The EMS Soccer Field has 1 soccer field. It is located close enough to the Legion Park to utilize their concessions and bathrooms when open. Laffey Park has some playground equipment on it.
